SIU probes Toronto man's stun gun death

The Special Investigations Unit says it's probing thedeath of a 43-year-old man who was Tasered twice during an incidentin Toronto.

The police watchdog agency says Toronto police officers went to awest-end apartment early on Nov. 6.

The SIU says the officers encountered a man in the apartment andEmergency Task Force officers were called for assistance.

During the interaction with the man, the SIU says two conductedenergy weapons were deployed.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead thenext day.

The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reportsinvolving police where there has been death, serious injury orallegations of sexual assault.
