Windsor police make two arrests, seize firearm and $30,000 worth of drugs while executing a warrant

Windsor police have arrested two people and seized a firearm and over $30,000 worth of illegal drugs following an investigation.

Officers from the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit (DIGS) entered a residence in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue on a warranton Aug. 1, according to a news release posted by Windsor Police Serviceson Saturday.

Police arrested a 52-year-old male and 47-year-old female suspected of trafficking. The release states that officers, including help from the K9 unit, recoveredfentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, as well as a hand gun and just under $3,000 cash.

Both of the people arrested were charged with three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and four firearms-related offences.
