Windsor police seize $55,000 in massive fentanyl bust

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a major drug bust Wednesday that included large amounts of fentanyl, according to Windsor police.
Members of the drug and gun enforcement unit raided a home near the downtown, finding fentanyl, oxycodone, marijuana and cash.
"This investigation indicates, once again, thatfentanylpowder anextremely dangerous and potentially fatal drug has indeed found it's way into our community," police saidin a news release.
Police seized:
- 109.4 grams of fentanyl powder
- 66 fentanyl capsules
- 25 fentanyl pills
- 21 oxycodone pills
- 14 oxycodone pills
- $1,700 Canadian currency
- $40.00 U.S. currency
- 3 cellphones
- 201.6 grams of marijuana
- 8 fentanyl patches
- 3 digital scales
The man, 20, is charged with eight counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The woman, 24,is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
