Grammys 2022: Full list of winners

Jon Batiste closed out the Grammy awards on Sunday withfive awards including album of the year, while Silk Sonic took home four awards including record of the year and song of the year.

SingerOlivia Rodrigo also came out on top with three Grammys includingbest new artist, best pop solo performance forDriver'sLicenseand best pop album for Sour at the award show; she was nominated for seven Grammys.

Silk Sonic, the pop-funk duo made up ofBruno Mars andAnderson .Paak,also picked up awardsfor best R&B performance and best R&B song. Canadian recording engineerCharles Moniz was also honoured with a Grammy for his work on the duo's singleLeave the Door Open.

Rodrigo, Silk Sonic and J Balvin opened the the televised portion of the award show in Las Vegas with performances at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Earlier, Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell picked up a Grammy for best historical album forJoni Mitchell Archives, Vol. 1: The Early Years (1963-1967)during the non-televised portion of the award show on Sunday.

The 78-year-old was also honoured at the2022 MusiCares Person of the year gala on Friday.

The Weekndalsopicked up a Grammy during the non-televised portion of the award show for best melodic rap performance for his feature onHurricaneby rapperKanye West. Both the WeekndandToronto rapper Drake have torn their relationship with the Recording Academy. Last March, the Weekndsaidhe wasboycotting the Grammyswhile Drake withdrew his nominations for 2022 in November.

Hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, the show was postponed in January amid rising cases of COVID-19 and schedulingconflicts.It'sthe first time the Grammys have been hosted outside of Los Angeles since the show was held at Madison Square Garden in New Yorkin 2018.

SingerJon Batiste led the nominations with 11, while Doja Cat, H.E.R. and Canada's Justin Bieber eachhadeight. Other Canadians nominated this year include Peterborough, Ont., producerGreg Wells and Hamilton's Caribou.

Bieber also performed Peaches with fellow CanadianDaniel Caesar and singerGiveon.

Other performances on Sunday included Lady Gaga, Brothers Osborne, CarrieUnderwood, Lil Nas X, Nas and more.
