Rescuers scramble to find survivors in mountain towns hardest hit by temblor
As rescuers raced to find survivors of the devastating earthquake that hit central Italy early Wednesday, firefighters working in one of the hardest-hit towns pulled a 10-year-old girl alive from under a crumbled home.
"You can hear something under here. Quiet, quiet," one rescue worker said, before soon urging her on: "Come on, Giulia, come on, Giulia."

Cheers broke out when she was pulled out 17 hours after the temblor hit the mountainous region. Two women ran up the street yelling: "She's alive."
But there were wails when bodies emerged in Pescara del Tronto.
"Unfortunately, 90 per cent we pull out are dead, but some makeit, that's why we are here," said Christian Bianchetti, a volunteerfrom Rieti who was working in devastated Amatrice.
