For Parents A Printable Holiday TV Schedule So Full of Joy You’ll Forget It Is 2020

By Kevin Naulls, CBC Parents Staff

Dec 3, 2020

This year has been objectively terrible.

Unless you're wealthy enough to direct your family and friends to test and quarantine so you can escape to a private island, chances are this year has been a combination of so many emotions that it has been hard to chill.

But like many people, feeling relaxed is a goal. In many ways, it is the goal. Not billionaire status, a trip to an exotic locale — in 2020, I know I'm just looking for moments to shut out all of the polluting noise in my brain.

So in an effort to forget, for a moment or two, the state of Georgia, a single-term President and COVID-19 — just a few of my examples — I decided to curate a holiday viewing schedule for parents. There are TV and movie classics, some new favourites and some things you've probably never heard of. And it's printable!

And if you're a family who doesn't watch anything on TV, and instead you watch everything online — I feel you — you can watch great kids holiday content all December long for free on Gem. Here's a kids holiday playlist to get you started.

Once you get started viewing, you'll be thinking, "Senator Mitch McConnell who?"

Don't believe me? Try it. What do you really have to lose?

Happy holidays, everyone.
