Nature Craft for Kids: Rainbow Stained-Glass Suncatchers

Who's ready for bright colours?

Over the weekend, we decided to create some stained-glass suncatchers to hang in our windows to brighten up our view. These were so simple to create and the results were so exciting!

What You'll Need

• dried leaves and/or pressed flowers (optional)
• crayons
• pencil sharpener
• wax paper
• regular paper
• popsicle sticks (coloured can be fun)
• glue
• iron
• paper

How It's Made

Measure wax paper squares the length and width of the popsicle sticks and cut out.

Place a square of wax paper onto a sheet of regular paper and add your dried flowers or leaves on top. 

With a pencil sharpener, create shavings from whichever crayon colours you want to use and sprinkle them on top.

Lay a square of wax paper over top.

Now for the adult around: Place a regular sheet of paper on top and iron the square underneath (on low) until the wax has melted.

Finally glue on your popsicle-stick frame.

It will then look something like this!

Continue creating until your rainbow is complete!
