Canadian rock legend Neil Young is now officially a U.S. citizen.

And among the musicians first acts as an American was to indicate how hell vote in the 2020 U.S. presidential election and to send a political message to his new compatriots.

Young, who has been a vocal critic of U.S. President Donald Trump , stood saluting next to a sign that reads Democrats register to vote here in a photo shared to Instagram and on his website on Wednesday.

Im happy to report Im in!! the Toronto-born 74-year-old wrote in the caption. Vote your conscience, he added, alongside emojis of the American and Canadian flags.
