Kathy Campbell Feeney is a family nurse practitioner and the mother of a trans son. At the tender age of 22, she was awarded a degree in journalism, which she promptly gifted to her father. She hasn't seen it since. In the ensuing 20-plus years, she has been a waitress, a bartender, a manager, and a nurse. As an NP, she spends her days tending to her patients and her nights watching "Dropout" with her son. She firmly believes that healthcare decisions are a private matter between patients and their providers.
