Twelve-year-old Jade says that she and her mom argue almost every day and say hurtful things to each other, and she says shes desperate for the chaos to end.
The relationship between me and my mom, Shawna, gets really stressful, she says. My mom and I say a lot of mean things: We hate each other, we wished each other would die. She says she wished that she would have had an abortion.
Jade also says she takes issue with the amount of chores her mother makes her complete. I feel like the chores are excessive. You have to do the dishes, take care of the animals, get my sister ready, clean out my moms car and the bathrooms, her room, my sisters room, Jade says. With all my chores and taking care of my sister, I dont feel like I have time to have fun. I dont think its fair. Why cant she ground me? Im only 12 and I dont need all the responsibility shes giving me.
Jade continues, I want to have a relationship with my mom where we dont have to scream and yell every day. I want all the drama completely gone.
