Donald Trump is veritably fuming over Kim Kardashian in newly released audio.

In a recording played Wednesday on CNN s OutFront, the former president tells author Ramin Setoodeh that he was disappointed in Kardashian for distancing herself from his administration following their successful joint efforts to enact prison reform.

With Kim, I did a lot of prison reform that she couldnt get done with anybody else, Trump says in the clip, adding : I let people out of prison that I thought were deserving to be let out. And then after it was all over, she announced that shes not supporting me.

And she only did that to be cool in Hollywood, he concludes in the recording.

Setoodeh captured the audio during interviews for his book Apprentice in Wonderland , which was released last week and chronicles Trumps rise from reality television to the White House.

Kardashians own empire grew out of her familys reality TV show.

The billionaire cosmetics mogul visited Trump at the White House in 2018 to discuss prison reform and push for clemency for Alice Marie Johnson, a nonviolent drug offender.

Kardashian celebrated that result (and surprised many when she announced plans to become a lawyer ). But she later hailed President Joe Bidens election victory in 2020.

Setoodeh believes Trump, who signed the First Step Act to reform federal prisons and sentencing laws after meeting with Kardashian, felt betrayed by her.
