Emmy Winners 2012: 'Homeland,' 'Modern Family' And 'Game Change' Tops

Emmy winners for the 2012 award ceremony included many familiar faces and some newcomers. In the comedy category, "Modern Family" took home awards in the Best Supporting Acting categories, Outstanding Comedy Series and Directing for a Comedy Series.

It was the second Emmy for both Julie Bowen and Eric Stonestreet for their work on "Modern Family." This is the third year in a row "Modern Family" won Best Comedy Series.

In the drama category, newcomer "Homeland" swept the acting categories with Claire Danes and Damian Lewis taking home Emmys. "Homeland" broke "Mad Men's" Best Drama Series streak.

In the Miniseries/Movie category, "Game Change" took home the prize for Best Actress , Writing and Directing as well as the Emmy for Outstanding Miniseries/TV Movie.
