Justin Timberlake was arrested in New Yorks Hamptons after being accused of driving while under the influence, authorities confirmed Tuesday.

The Cry Me a River singer was taken into custody just before 1 a.m. Tuesday in Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island, after an officer allegedly saw his BMW run a stop sign and he failed to stay in his lane, the Sag Harbor Police Department said in a statement.

A traffic stop was initiated by a police officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition, the statement said.
