Voters in New Hampshire are heading to the polls on Tuesday to cast ballots in the state's 2012 primary election.

The latest polls show former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney running ahead of rival contenders vying for the Republican presidential nomination going into the contest. Meanwhile, support for former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman in the Granite State appears to be on the rise.

Romney came in first place in the Iowa caucus last week. Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum finished just eight votes behind Romney in second place.
