Beyond honoring the years movies, the Oscars are a hotbed for political fodder. The awards have long provided a showcase for celebrity protests, from Marlon Brando and Vanessa Redgrave in the 1970s to Patricia Arquette and Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2010s.
