It seems like this years presidential election is going to be dogged with discomfiting stories involving canines.
First, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) became a pariah after she admitted that she once killed a puppy named Cricket for being untrainable, in a book that was meant to hype her as a potential vice president for Donald Trump , no less.
On Tuesday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. seemed to metaphorically say hold my beer after a Vanity Fair profile revealed that the independent presidential candidate texted a photo last year to a friend that showed him and an unidentified woman about to bite into what appears to be a barbecued dog.
The person Kennedy was texting was traveling to Asia, and the presidential candidate suggested they might enjoy a restaurant in Korea that served dog on the menu.
Vanity Fair said the photos metadata shows it was taken in 2010, the same year that Kennedy was diagnosed with a parasitic worm in his brain .

HuffPost reached out to the Kennedy campaign for comment, but no one immediately responded.
Responding to the article in an interview on Breaking Points Tuesday, Kennedy called the profile garbage and claimed that the carcass in the photo which you can view on Vanity Fair is actually a goat he ate while in Patagonia. However, a veterinarian told Vanity Fair the carcass is canine due to its 13 pairs of ribs, including the telltale floating rib found in dogs. (It should be noted that goats also have 13 pairs of ribs .)
Kennedy denied eating dog and doubled down on his Patagonia goat story in a social media post .
Still, people on X, formerly Twitter, had a bone to pick.

I cannot post the photo of RFK Jr posing with a barbecued dog. I just cannot because its too depraved and horrific for me to want on my timeline. But honestly - that monster is getting double digit support in some polls. What is wrong with people? With this country??
