New York City Mayor Eric Adams was charged last week for allegedly taking bribes and illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals in exchange for political favors.
A few weeks ago, federal investigators subpoenaed the Brooklyn Catholic church requesting information about any dealings between Adams ex-chief of staff, Frank Carone, and Monsignor Jamie J. Gigantiello, according to the New York Post .
What does this have to do with the Espresso singer? Last fall, Carpenter filmed a music video for her song Feather in Brooklyns Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-Annunciation Parish, where Gigantiello was a priest. In the video, she wears a short black dress while men kill themselves over her.

The Diocese of Brooklyn, which said it was appalled with the violent and sexually provocative music video, demoted Gigantiello for allowing Carpenter to film there.
