One of my best friends is constantly threatening to shave off all of her long blond hair . Why? There's no way to change your hairstyle in a more dramatic way, the look is easy to maintain (as long as you have a trimmer at home and a willing assistant) and it is certainly a comfortable summer style .

While certain stars like model Alek Wek , singer Sinead O'Connor and more are known for their iconic short 'dos, other stars have buzzed their hair for film roles cut as part of their career. Recently, Charlize Theron cut off her hair for a role in "Mad Max" (she's been spotted all over Los Angeles donning hats) and Cynthia Nixon buzzed her hair for her part in the Broadway play "Wit." Other actresses like Demi Moore , Jeanne Moreau , Sigourney Weaver and Natalie Portman have all gone short in order to get into character. What do you think? Would you trade in your current style for a buzz cut this summer?
