The Donny & Marie star said she got down to like 92 pounds after the brutal reprimand.
"We will miss her humor, kindness and good nature," CBS said.
Osmond, who is replacing Sara Gilbert, said "everybody there is just full of love."
"I think we should all support whether we are happy or sad or everything else."
WHAT'S HAPPENING
When Marie Osmond isn't busy making music ("Music Is Medicine") she is working with the charity she co-founded. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for children's hospitals, medical research and raises community awareness of children's health issues.
Marie Osmond is used to the spotlight. Not only was she half of the popular entertainment duo "Donny and Marie" that hosted a variety show from 1976 to 1979, but more recently she completed a stint on "Dancing With The Stars" in 2007.
