The museum dedicated to Susan B. Anthony turned down a presidential pardon and instead suggested ways President Donald Trump could truly honor the late suffrage leader.
"Objection! Mr. President, Susan B. Anthony must decline your offer of a pardon today!" tweeted the national museum dedicated to the women's suffrage leader.
The former Democratic presidential candidate's response said volumes without saying a word.
One man predicted Trump will soon be complaining that Susan B. Anthony still hasn't thanked him for the pardon.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Anthony was arrested for voting in 1872 in violation of laws permitting only men to vote.
The New York City park, which currently has 23 statues honoring historic men, will erect a monument depicting Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Sojourner Truth.
The gesture is meant to show gratitude to the icon of women's suffrage on Election Day.
I want to honor women who fought their entire lives to open the doors for women like me. Women who still dont have enough space in history books.
